Private equity profession

Definition

Equity capital’s main task is to promote the creation and the development of small and medium enterprises by way of the partial funding of private equity or quasi-private equity. This funding takes place on the basis of the companies’ own investment resources and on the funds deposited or on their venture investment mutual trusts.
The companies’ participation materializes through a participation convention or a shareholding pact that sets capital entry conditions, monitoring terms for the invested company during the cohabitation and partnership period as well as the exit remuneration terms.
It is worth noting that the legislation currently in force prohibits equity companies from holding more than 49% in the shares of the invested companies’ capital
